100%! We have multiple experienced delegates that are willing to train all new members. We provide you the options of:
Attending an in-person mock conference to spectate how MUN works
1 on 1 training from our executives and other members in-person or virtually
Receive training documents written by our members.
All members have the ability to select any methods of assistance that they wish!
Yes! If your school is not attending a conference you wish to attend, join us as an individual, or being your school's delegation along too! GTAMUN attends the majority of conferences in the area, (and a few that are not).
Get the opportunity to attend conferences you cannot with your school.
Allows you to do other major clubs at school (DECA, HOSA, Robotics)
Free training to all members
Build a substantial amount of connections with other youth in the GTA

GTAMUN (Greater Toronto Area Model United Nations) is a regional Model UN conference held annually in Toronto that brings together high school students to engage in diplomatic simulations and discussions on pressing global topics.
GTAMUN is open to all students currently enrolled in secondary school (grades 9-12) interested in global issues and diplomacy.
Yes! GTAMUN welcomes delegates from across Canada and around the world.
You can register through the Registration tab on our website. Choose either to register as part of a school delegation or as an independent delegate.
No. If your school does not have a delegation, you may still attend by registering as an independent delegate.
GTAMUN offers a variety of committees tailored to different experience levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Specific committees will be announced on our Committees page closer to the conference date.
No prior MUN experience is required! We have committees designed for beginners as well as more advanced delegates.
The registration fee includes access to all conference sessions, social events, and conference materials over the two-day event.
Meals are not included. Delegates are encouraged to explore local dining options during breaks. Our staff can provide restaurant recommendations.
Registration fees vary depending on when you register. Early bird, regular, and late registration prices are detailed under the Registration tab on the website.
The dress code is western business attire. If you have any issues meeting this requirement, please contact the USG of Delegate Affairs ahead of time.
Conference rules will be provided upon registration and are also available on the Rules page of the website. These rules help maintain a respectful and professional environment.
Awards are given based on delegates’ performance including their position papers, leadership, negotiation skills, diplomacy, and participation during committee sessions. Respect and cooperation are also taken into account.
Yes, GTAMUN offers social events for delegates to network, relax, and have fun during the conference.
Definitely! Our staff and Secretariat provide resources and guidance to help new delegates prepare and have a successful experience.
